Spring Into My World

Spring is...

Lavender breezes born on the wind
Helicopters all over the driveway
Splashes of pinks, purples, and yellow
Newborn limbs stretching over frolicking waters.

Spring is...

Eggs painted in pretty pastels
Easter lilies and tulips perfuming the rooms
Kissing the sun good morning earlier
And having it go to bed when you do

Spring is...

The expectation of summer
Lazy days, and much cooler nights
Mowers buzzing all over
Leave the world green and fresh.

Spring is...

Highways filled with out of state plates
Green splendor after April showers
Yellow weeds taking up residence in my backyard
Mother Nature playing games with our electrical bill.

Spring is...

Laughter and sun-kissed faces
Giant ice cream cones tinkle down the streets
Shiny new bicycles and afternoon treats
Feeling nature's carpet under your toes.

Spring is...

Bugs and birds on the prowl
Raspberries fresh from the vine
Hope blowing in after the dark and cold
The Earth starting fresh.
